New Years Eve we decided to go to Winter Wonderland in our capital city Cardiff......

The event happens every year and draws big crowds, It is set up around the museum and city hall area of the city.....

They have a large travelling fair there plus live bands and an outdoor skating rink.

The ice rink isn't a bad size it can accomodate about a 100 skaters at each session.

The Fairground

There are a lot of kiddie rides, but there are plenty of larger rides for the big kids.

Ooh look a cage and two rubber bands.

The only coaster there was a kiddie coaster, unlike in the summer version of the festival, where they have a spinning waltzer style coaster as well.

But of course we had to ride it.

The biggest ride there was Gforce this thing is huge and spins at 60 kmh.

Getting through the crowds is quite hard work as the rides and stalls are in the streets as well.

Got to say the organisers of the event do a great job and each year gets better and better.
