We decided to go to Oakwood in the evening as they have late nights now for August, and as it is school holidays it was surprisingly quiet. So off we went straight to Speed.

I have ridden a Eurofighter coaster in Bobbejaanland last year Typhoon and that was good but Speed rocked.

First the drop was a little bit bigger than Typhoon and the overal speed of the ride was much better which gave massive airtime on the hump.

after the drop. Into a loop then a quick barrel roll and some nice high G helix turns to end, very smooth and fast and a great addition to Oakwood......

A nice banked curve set you up for the loop.

Then off to the second part of the ride.

and a very fast stop at the end

Megafobia

.next was Megafobia last time i rode this it had rained very heavily and the ride was as smooth as a babies butt, this time it was dry for days before and it had got a bit bumpier but it was still a class coaster to ride and we had plenty of re-rides on it. .

This ride is world class and everybody should have at least one go on it .

Hydro

Since the new restraints have been put on it, it seems to take ages to ride it now they wait till at least 12 adults are onboard before they let you go, so one ride was enough as time was against us.

It still has a great feeling of tipping over and the splash is awesome and extremely wet for all riders, so it is still fun and worth changing restraints for safety

Bounce

Next was Bounce, I really didn't think much of this ride compared to some of the other rides we have been on ie.

Ice Blast at Blackpool it didn't have the power or drop speed but we didn't have to queue at all for it so it got rode.

Treetops

The only ride I have ever been on where you can grab branches while you're riding .

Yo me laddo it's the pirate ship

Circus Clown the kiddie coaster of the park

And of course the Carousel!

Kiddie aeroplanes..

Flying Machines planes on chains.

The waterchutes are very popular with the kids who visit the park.

As we went on a late night they put on a show for the punters.

And a really good firework show.

Overall Oakwood is most prob the best of the rest in the UK after the Tussauds and Blackpool mafias and if they add a few more rides or coasters they will give the others a run for their money
