AMERICAN ADVENTURE

American adventure Image

On the 21st May 2005 we discovered the “Wild.Wild West” hidden in the wilds of Derbyshire. A really enjoyable family day with something for all ages and the rain held off until the end of the day!

There can't have been more than 150 people in the park, which made queues a thing of the past.

There was excellent theming at “Silver City" where cast members put on a wild west show twice a day complete with shoot out.

We only caught a few minutes of the show but it was very entertaining.

This 20 year old ride was still running smooth.

We were able to ride this all day with no queues as the park was so quiet.

Runaway Mine Train

The Runaway Mine Train was really fast and great fun.
We rode it over and over again.

As the park was quiet, when the train came into the station the ride ops ask only who wanted to get ofF, so we re rode as much as we wanted.

This is the fastest mine train we have been on so far.

The Balloon Ride Phileas fogg style ride

The carousel only seemed to run about every 30 mins.

Buffalo Stampede. Not very exciting but a coaster credit so it had to be ridden.

As the name suggests, an island in the lake with a walkway across to more kiddie rides.

Merry-go-round

Helter Skelter. A long, steep climb but worth the effort

Rascal Rocket. A bounce ride for young children which they control themselves.

Or as we like to call it The Wagon Wheel

Santa Fe Railway Mach 0.001 travel.

Missile. Sadly no longer in use as they are taking it down to make way for more family type rides.

Log Flume was closed for renovation
